Selling a Car

Selling a car is easy with us! Please complete the No-Obligation, Pre-Consignment Form and once we receive it, one of our car specialists will contact you to discuss. As a consignor, you will receive a complimentary bidder's pass, an additional guest pass, and a complimentary admission to the Museum. Additional passes can be purchased for $25. This will allow entry into the Auction and Museum.

Car Guidelines

• You must be the owner of the car and the title MUST be in your name.
• If you are Dealer, we will need a copy of your Dealer's license with your Dealer number.
• The VIN must match the title.
• Please submit your description and photos of the car including a front exterior shot, exterior, interior, engine and anything else that may highlight the vehicle. Please submit those photos to photos@themiamiAuctioncenter.com
• Cars with Salvage or liens will NOT be accepted.
• Must provide valid proof of insurance. Cars without valid proof of insurance will not be accepted.

Why should I choose an Auction environment to sell my car?

Simply put, selling your vehicle at our Auction will put you in front of the people who are there to buy! With our Auction method, your car will be displayed at the Museum for a total of 24 hours "on the block" as opposed to seconds or minutes. We advertise the cars being offered for Auction in various print and online publications giving you maximum exposure for your money! There is limited space at The Miami Auction Center, so the earlier you consign, the faster we can begin marketing and advertising your vehicle!

What options do I have to sell the car?

1. You can sell your vehicle with a RESERVE.
2. You can sell your vehicle with NO RESERVE. The vehicle will sell to the highest bidder.
3. You have the option to RACE TO MEET RESERVE. (RMR) If you choose this option, the car will be sold to the first bidder to meet the reserve regardless of how much time is left at the Auction.

What are the marketing fees and commissions if I decide to consign my car?

The marketing fees may vary depending on the number of cars you are looking to consign, (please contact a car specialist for additional information), however, a commission of 8% will be applied for a RESERVE CAR, and a commission of 5% will be applied for a NO RESERVE car. Marketing fees are non-refundable.

What if my car sells?

Once the Auction has ended, you can expect your net proceeds within twenty-one (21) business days.

What if my car doesn't sell?

We have a post-sale team that will attempt to find an interested buyer for your vehicle.

When can I pick up my car in the event that it does not sell?

You can pick up the car the next day after the Auction has ended. Please provide proper identification so we can release the car.
